All veterans who serve their country are entitled to certain benefits, but those who join The American Legion have additional ones. Legionnaires qualify for a variety of services and special offers, ranging from health-care aid to discounts on computers and electronics.

American Legion Department Service Officer to Hold Hours at Hall
American Legion Post 297 would like to introduce Veteran’s service officer Courtney Thurber. She will be available to help veterans in applying for benefits, getting a copy of your DD214, and more. She will also answer any questions you may have.
Courtney will hold office hours every Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Post 297 hall, 3590 Conklin Street.
All veterans are welcome. No appointment is necessary as she is currently scheduled to be working here for a year every Wednesday! You can contact her at (517) 582-1678 or cthurber@michiganlegion.org Keep in mind she is only working here on Wednesdays.
